Natalie Dessay - Hamlet -

Here is a serious performance of the first part of Ophelia's aria from Thomas' Hamlet--the one Lunita found a parody of. You can find the other two parts by searching Natalie Dessay Hamlet (or Ophelia) at YouTube.
I have to say I find this an amazing performance, and in some ways, the best Ophelia I've ever seen on film--although the medium is entirely different, and so are the words of the text. (In this version, the French dialogue is given in subtitles, so maybe those of us who read French can fill in Lunita on what's sung.)
I've suggested looking at TV and film versions and parodies but I haven't considered opera or ballet yet, and I must say, this clip really seems worth looking at, to me.
